hermit crabs must have a constant temperature of 75˙  and 70% humidity. 

you also must have extra shell, food, and water.

to give your crabitat a "tropical" feel, put in some fake plants, sand, and some extra water basins.

never jeep only one hermit crab alone, they like to be around there own kind.

in nature hermit crabs travel in packs of up to 100. they do this so they can recycle their shells. (i.e. when one crab loses its shell a smaller one moves into it).

the firs thing you need when you get a hermit crab is a "crabitat". a crabitat is what your hermit crab will live in. a 10 gallon glass aquarium is a good starter and ls for a reasonable price. This means that the small plastic box that you got from a mall kiosk or boardwalk store is not an adequate shelter for any hermit crab. 

the best substrate for hermit crabs is a mix of coconut fibers and sand.

the best brands of substrate are: Forest Bedding®, Bed-A-Beast®, and Eco-Earth®.

can not use any pesticides in your crabitat or it will kill the crabs! 

another important thing for your crabs is to always clean their water bowls. if you do not clean the water bowl it will result in algae that can result in your hermit crabs getting sick or poisoned.

hermit crabs LOVE toys, here are a few you that you could use:

Dried choya (or cholla) wood (they actually like to eat it too)

Sand-blasted grapevine

Driftwood in any shape or form

Plastic plants

Coral, barnacles and sea fans (coral also provides additional calcium)

Man-made 'hermie huts' for them to hide in

Man-made 'half logs' also as hiding places

Unpainted clay flower pots

When Mr. Randy dropped both pieces of paper what really happened was: the balled up paper hit the ground before the flat paper. i would have been right if it wasn't for that stupid wind >:(
